CAROLYN butler-madden 

Author, speaker and Chief Purpose Activist at Purpose Consultancy, The Cause Effect, Carolyn Butler-Madden believes in a world where business is a force for good and brands drive profit through purpose.

She helps business leaders define their Purpose and integrate it strategically into their business and brand to deliver meaningful social impact AND competitive advantage.

Her mission is to make meaningful purpose, including Social Purpose, a vital part of doing business in Australia and beyond.

Carolyn’s Amazon bestselling book, Path-To-Purpose is Australia’s first book on this subject. She’s also a contributing author to international best-selling book "Better Business, Better Life, Better World. The Movement".

Carolyn brings 30 years’ international experience creating successful and internationally awarded marketing campaigns for some of the world’s best brands. Over 18 years she owned and ran two agencies in Sydney, until quitting the agency world and moving into consulting to pursue her passion for social purpose.

Today, through her content, speaking, workshops and by implementing her Path To Purpose Program, she helps leaders of small, medium and large organisations understand and create strategies that drive profitable outcomes by creating positive social impact.

JOHN BRIGGS 

John Briggs is highly skilled and knowledgeable in the area of Indigenous inclusion, with more than 25 years experience. This combined with his personable style of facilitation, which is respectful and non-confrontational, has earnt him a reputation as a leader in Indigenous consultation and advice. John’s aptitude and flair for creating culturally safe environments allows each client to unearth and challenge unconscious bias around the engagement and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This approach has empowered many organisations from all sectors to develop and implement successful Reconciliation Action Plans, set Indigenous targets and go on to achieve these well into the future.


sally bateman 

Sally Bateman was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Make-A-Wish Australia, one of the country’s most inspirational charities for children in 2018. A former senior publishing executive, Sally was Penguin Random House’s inaugural Asia Pacific Director of Marketing, Publicity and Digital following the international merger of Penguin and Random House. Previously, she spent 17 years with Penguin Australia where she led marketing and digital strategy during a decade of disruption. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Sally is an experienced Non-Executive Director in the not-for-profit sector. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology.


arabella gibson 

Arabella Gibson is the CEO of Gidget Foundation Australia, a national not for profit mental health organisation supporting the emotional wellbeing of expectant and new parents and their families. Arabella joined Gidget over 5 years ago, after a lengthy career in the media industry, working in management for small business as well as publicly listed entities in both Australia and the UK.

Arabella was formerly General Manager for iSUBSCRiBE, an online magazine subscription business, based in London. Prior to this, Arabella was the Director of Communications for Australian media entity PBL Media (Nine Entertainment Co) as well as its subsidiary businesses the Nine Network Australia and Bauer Media (formerly ACP Magazines).

Before joining ACP Magazines, Arabella was Global General Manager – Marketing & Sales for Australian icon brand, RM Williams. 

Arabella participated in the advisory group to devise the Australian Government’s Women’s Health Strategy for 2020 to 2030 in Canberra and contributed to the COVID-19 National Mental Health Strategy for Children, Young People and Parents.

Named as the Not For Profit Executive of the Year in 2022, Arabella was also a finalist in The CEO Magazines’ Awards in 2018, 2019 and 2021 and a Finalist in the Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards in 2019. 

Arabella holds a Masters Degree in Communication Management from UTS and is a Director of Future Women, an organisation supporting the advancement of women to connect, learn and lead and a Director of Motherland, a rural support network for mothers in the bush.

Arabella and her husband have twins – a son and a daughter.
